The matting offers permanent insulation to prevent danger from shock to persons employed in the generation, transformation, distribution or use of electrical energy. Switchboard rubber safety matting is the recommended safety floor covering for switchrooms, sub-stations, transformers and generators. In temporary applications portable electrical rubber safety mats should be used.
HV electrical safety rubber matting (IEC 61111) is available in working voltages 17kV up to 36kV. This matting is flame retardant, acid and oil resistant and supplied in 10m rolls as standard (longer lengths on request) – order references can be found in the Technical Specifications table.
