Klauke Remote Cutter Kit

Developed for specialist cutting requirements in the vicinity of live power lines in the electrical utility and railway industries, this lightweight portable kit combines the Klauke APH 700-L battery powered portable hydraulic pump, high pressure live line hoses and 3 special cutting heads that allow the operator to remotely cut conductor and tree limbs. When using slot together operating rods or telescopic fuse rods the equipment is light enough to be used at 25-30 feet.

Adapters are available for fitting on to standard slot together rods or telescopic operating rods and when combined with the 90° universal adapter cuts can be made at any angle in both vertical and horizontal planes, enabling work to be carried out in difficult to reach places. Can be ordered as individual items or complete kits.

In addition to the Klauke APH 700-L battery powered portable hydraulic pump and high pressure live line hoses, the kit contains:

SDK20 Remote Hydraulic Cutting Head – ACSR

Lightweight head for cutting ACSR conductor or steel dropper wires (railway), up to 20mm diameter.

SDK32 Remote Hydraulic Cutting Head – Cu/Al

Lightweight head for cutting copper and aluminium conductor up to 32mm diameter.

SDA50 Remote Hydraulic Cutting Head – Wood

A unique lightweight hydraulic head for cutting tree branches. Reduces the manual exertion required when using mechanical pruners and branch saws. Also greatly reduces the amount of exposed metal when cutting in close proximity to live overhead conductors. Cuts tree limbs up to 50mm diameter.
